The close of registration of additional players in the Women's category of the Bayelsa Governor's Football Tournament, also known as the Prosperity Cup, has been extended.


The window of registration of additional players will now close at 4.00p.m. on Friday, 1st of May, 2026.


This is contained in a statement signed by the Head of Women's Tournament, Mr Zuzu Ebimotimi.


The statement notes that there would be no further extension in date, and advised participating teams to take advantage of the window.


By extension, the date of the semi-final matches in the women's category of the competition, has been slightly adjusted.


The said matches, originally scheduled for Friday, 1st of May, have now been rescheduled to hold on Monday 4th and Tuesday, 5th of May, 2026.

According to the statement, the shift in date of the semi-final matches, is to give the affected teams the opportunity to complete their registrations.
