**Defending Champions Begin Tournament Defence Today**
Zola FC of Azikoro, God's Grace Stars FC, Ogbolo FC of Ogu and Ohaneze FC are through to the next round of the Bayelsa State Governor's Football Tournament tagged the Prosperity Cup.
The Prosperity Cup kicked off at the weekend with excitement across different centres in Yenagoa with a harvest of goals.
At Ogboloma Center, God's Grace Stars, Agbia, whitewashed Bayelsa State School of Nursing, 4-1 in the first game, as Polaku FC walked over Life Way Ministry in the second game. Ohaneze FC walked over Baptist Youth FC of Ovom in the first game at the Opolo center, to get a smooth passage to the next round, while Zola FC Azikoro were too strong for House of Hope School FC, beating them 3-0 in the second game to end their Prosperity Cup campaign.
At the Kpansia venue, Okaniba Arikparo and Toni Memory handed Ogbolo FC of Ogu a 2-0 victory over laundry Boys, Prime Wash FC in the first game, as Azikoro FC lost 3-0 to St. Patrick Church in the second game.
Shegbelegbe FC, in the first game at the Swali/Oxbow Lake Centre beat Kpansia IV FC 2-1 to advance to the next phase, at the Agbia Centre, Kpansia Young Boys piped Distinguished Association FC 2-0 as Social International FC humbled Ebi's FC of Biogbolo 3-1.
It was a goal feast for Okolobiri FC at the Okordia Center as Okolobiri thrashed Agbia 5-0 the highest scoreline in matchday one, while In the other fixture Biseni FC spanked Interact FC 4-2.
At the Tombia Center our reporter Opusam Ete reports that Ogu Colombia FC lost 0-1 to Dreams Academy FC, while the next fixture saw Northern Strikers booked their place in the next round winning 3-2 on penalties after a one all draw at regulation time.
Kpansia FC eased to the next round with a 3-0 win over Kadion Glamorous School at the BDGS Centre, as Akaba Town II lost 1-4 to Ogbo United Ikibiri in the other fixture.
Action continues today with interesting fixtures across Yenagoa. Defending Champions, Eternal Grace Ministry EGM FC will begin their title defence against Faith Comprehensive School at the Opolo Center by 1pm while Rose of Sharon FC Ekeki welcomes God's Glory Ministry FC at 3pm.
Kpansia 3 FC at the Tombia Center will entertain Deme Community FC in the first match of the day while St Michael Church FC tackles Experience Academy School FC, Grace Baptist Church FC of Agudama at the Ogboloma Center will host Igbogene FC.
JTF Headquarters FC Igbogene will battle Apostolic Church at the Ogboloma Center at 3pm, 6 0'clock FC will be looking forward for a good result in the afternoon when they take on Akenfa FC, Amarata FC faces S.M.H.S of Okutukutu at 3pm.
The Nigeria Television Authority NTA FC will take on Azikoro Youth Movement FC at Swali Center, Peremor Soccer FC will face A.G Onopa in the first match of the day.
